Using an eSIM in the USA
For the USA, choose by your route and phone compatibility before comparing the largest data allowance. A New York city break and a drive through the Southwest have different coverage needs. Check whether you want data alone or a US phone number for ordinary calls and SMS, such as contacting a hotel or rental desk.
International travel eSIMs and local prepaid lines can have different setup conditions.

Mobile networks and coverage in the USA
AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon are major local networks to check. The international seller’s brand is not the network carrying your data. Confirm which network or networks the exact package allows, including whether any listed alternatives are actually available to that plan.
Look up the city accommodation and the full road route. Reception around New York, Los Angeles or Las Vegas does not establish coverage through a desert, national park or mountain pass. For a road trip, check both overnight stops and the connecting roads on operator coverage maps.

For a North America itinerary, compare eSIM plans for Canada and eSIM plans for Mexico with a regional bundle. Verify all three countries and the allowance available in each. A US plan with roaming benefits can have different data limits outside the US, even when the home allowance is described as unlimited.

Set minimum data and duration in the comparison, then compare the total cost of matching packages. Include top-ups or renewals needed to cover the full journey. Sorting by price per GB is useful only after the validity and destinations fit.
